Below is a map from the Wisconsin DNR showing current fire danger levels as of Friday afternoon. Eau Claire, Chippewa, Clark and Jackson counties are all in the 'high' category. Every county north of Chippewa county is in the very high risk. Dunn, Trempealeau, Pepin, and Buffalo counties are all in the 'moderate' risk.

"We're just asking people please don't burn right now because humidity are going to get really low and these fires just get away from you. And all the fires that we've been to this year have been controlled debris burning that got out of control," said Osseo Fire Chief Nels Gunderson.

Gunderson expects the high fire danger to continue for at least a week. He is reminding people to be extremely careful if they do plan to burn. He added his department and the DNR are not issuing burning permits until the impacted areas gets rain.
