Michigan Safety Conference aims to prevent workplace injuries, deaths
LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Wednesday saw the 94th annual Michigan Safety Conference, where attendees discussed efforts to improve workplace safety.
Several different topics were covered, including workplace violations and deaths.
The theme: “Find Your Safety.”
“That means something a little bit different for everybody, but that theme is something that we’ve tried to resonate throughout everything that we do to protect workers in the workplace, which is our focus and our mission,” said Michigan Safety Conference Board Chair Michael Eckert.
MIOSHA says there have been seven worker deaths in Michigan this year.
