U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration to host National Prescription Drug Takeback Day on April 26

West Virginia (WOAY)-If you have old prescription drugs you need to get rid of, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration is hosting National Prescription Drug Takeback Day on Saturday, April 26.

There will be collection sites across several counties that will take unneeded medication and dispose of it safely.

Takeback events are free and anonymous, so come by with your old prescription drugs to help prevent pill abuse and theft.

The DEA reminds everyone that they will not accept any liquids, needles, or sharps.

On April 26, Wyoming County will accept unwanted prescriptions at Mullens City Hall, Goodson’s Supermarket, and One Voice in Oceana from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Mercer County will have a site at the County Sheriff’s Department in Princeton from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The DEA reminds everyone that they will not accept any liquids, needles, or sharps.
